Einsteins Dreams - Stylist/Art Direction

For this project my designs were based on the book Einstein's Dreams by Alan Lightman. All of the short stories in the book revolve around the theme of time and the different possibilities of how time could work. 

I wanted to look at the role of Art Director and Styling for photo shoots. I decided to plan and design for three completely different types of photo shoot, each shoot would be based on a different of the three stories. The first shoot I designed for was fine art photography. The second was for photos for perfume advertisements. The third was to create creative editorial style images suitable for use in a fashion magazine. 

This third sheet I actually realized. I planned the shoot and created shooting schedules as would be done in a real life scenario. I hired models and booked a photography studio. I then designed and created the set I wanted for the shoot as well as selecting and putting together my shoot wardrobe. Then on the day of the shoot I helped to direct the shoot and to get the photos I had envisaged.
